I am a Year 5 student at Panmure Bridge School, Auckland, New Zealand. My teachers are Mr Wong and Mr Ogilvie.
Today I did comment thread on marey blog.
And my question was it hard for her Summer Learning Journey.
Today for SLJ I was doing a task called fishing false teeth.
First we had to watch a video and we had to get some information from the video it is about two old men going fishing one guy sneezes and the old lost his teeth in the water.
And his friend laugh at and he got mad then his other friend he had gotten a fish and he took his teeth and put the teeth in his fish and he tap him on the back and he saw some teeth and took it out of fish he put in his mouth and he naw that it was not his teeth and thought them in the waster.
In our Summer Learning Journey teaser task we did a task where we had to colour in a drawing.
First we had to find a picture there were a lot of picture to pick.
First we did the picture and we saw the original picture then we started drawing the picture we use different colours and it was really easy.
Then use the colour below the picture and there are a lot of color to use we pick some color.
Today I did subtraction up to 10.
I did subtraction and it was easy and it was not hard and it was really easy and it was not hard.
Fractions are one whole thing divided into equal pieces.
Fraction have two parts, the numerator, and the denominator.
The denominator tells the size of the fraction.
The numerator shows how pieces there are.
an example is five eights the factor size is eight.(5\8)
there are five pieces,so the numerator is five.
see below for example.
Emergency Shelters are used to protect people from disasters. Disaster like earthquakes,
storms, rain and volcanic eruptions.
An Emergency Shelter needs the correct material. Concrete is the strongest material for storm
protection because when a thunderstorm strikes concrete nothing will happen.
The shape of the shelter is a type of 3
The materials that were picked were concrete because it is good for storm protection because
when the storm hits it won't fall.
Wool was picked because it can keep things warm.
Wood was picked because it can protect the roof from falling.
